A lucky plane spotter in Reno got video of this flight of F-16s getting refueled by a KC-10.
Which got me thinking. A couple of months ago, I went out to Dyess AFB in Abilene and noticed these parallel contrails way up high over the base. I couldn't make any sense of it, but now I wonder if they were left by planes refueling.

Six ship, not the Thunderbirds, over Reno. Red Flag started recently. Could be Kunsan jets heading back to ROK. Or coalition jets heading home.

Sorry if I asked this twice, but I tried to edit my reply and shared it to Photography by accident.
What are your thoughts about those contrails I photographed?

Common spacing for a tanker/ferry flight. When we went overseas, our jets would meet up with a tanker that flew with them in a formation to the next destination. Your pic looks like a 4-6 ship ferry flight.

There must be massive turbulence in the wake of that tanker.

Agreed. I'd like to know what he was filming with.

The long trails you see are chemtrails, part of the U.N.'s Agenda 21 plan to herd us all into special boxcars to carry us to secret installations of FEMA trailers, or something like that. Thanks Obama!
On a related note, a couple of months ago I heard a strange helicopter-like racket approaching our neighborhood. I went out to the front yard and saw three V-22 Ospreys in a triangle formation, with the lead being refueled by a KC-130J Super Hercules.

That I would have liked to see. I have yet to see an Osprey in action in person. Maybe the next air show.
